School

A weekly school is held on sundays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at designated classes. The primary goal is to educate the children and youth in the Islamic studies such as Quran, Sunah, and other Islamic education as well as Arabic language to help them practice Islam. This school will be expanded in regards to the hours and number of students once the center has been constructed. Your support to the school management and teachers, who are all volunteers, is greatly appreciated.

School Regulations:

  1. Attendance: we need a valid excuse in order not to be considered absent.
  2. Tardiness: after 10 minutes, if you are not in the classroom you are considered absent for that period.
  3. Parents must accompany their kids to the classroom and leave.
  4. Every student needs to have a parent or guardian (assigned by the parent) present at all times.
  5. There will be no eating or drinking inside the building, especially in the classrooms.
  6. Each student will have homework every week. Parents must work with their kids on their homework and studies at home.
  7. All students must bring a folder, papers, pencils and erasers every week (IT IS A MUST).
  8. The children have to be quiet in the building hallways.
Registration Registration for the new school year and classes will start on September 19, 2005. Classes will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and will be held every sunday.

Grading Procedure
  • Homework 50 %.
  • Tests 35 %.
  • Attendance and Tardiness 15 %.
  • Grades 90 - 100 (A), 80 - 89 (B), 70 - 79 (C), 50 - 69 (D), 0 - 49 (F)
